HOW TO HEAL YOUR INNER CHILD
The term inner child is an individual's childlike aspect. It includes what a person learned as a child, before puberty. The inner child is often conceived as a semi-independent subpersonality subordinate to the waking conscious mind. The term has therapeutic applications in counseling and health settings.
Not everyone is in touch with their inner child. Often, when people connect with their inner child, it's because they're dealing with a problem rooted in an early wounding. Your inner child is the childhood you by now probably have forgotten, but it still resides within you in your subconscious and still needs the love, nurturing and healing. Our parents, familiars and all the adults who surrounded our childhood, had no idea they helped to create your inner child. Many of us deny we have an inner child. When our inner child is not allowed to be heard or acknowledged as real, we create a false self and start to live as victims, with unresolved emotional trauma leading to anxiety, fear, emptiness, and unhappiness, and the sad part is that many are not aware of the situation behind, a situation that is affecting us in present time through patterns we did unconsciously create and we think those patterns are perfectly normal but in reality they are NOT.
We need to make time to nurture, love and be with our inner child. It is necessary to own and honor the child we once were in order to love the person we are now, by owning and honoring our childhood experiences and release the emotional energy that we are carrying within us in order to heal and better ourselves, in order to improve our relationships and for future generations.
Here are some amazing and useful books related to this important topic, that somehow is the root of many of the problems with deal from generations to generations in our present society. Be the change our future generations need.
